In the Dark, A Mother's Light
Five-year-old blind girl Zhang Meng faces a tragic fate. Her father, Zhang Lei, sold her to human traffickers, and her mother, Wang Shufen, fled after injuring Zhang Lei in anger. Twelve years later, Wang Shufen unexpectedly reunites with Zhang Meng, who has been framed by her adoptive sister Li Fei, humiliated by Chen Haotian, and renamed Li Meng. Wang Shufen recognizes her by a birthmark and realizes that Li Meng is her biological daughter. Refusing to accept this, Li Fei decides to kill Li Meng herself, but Wang Shufen sacrifices her life to save her daughter. After repeatedly failing in her schemes, Li Fei is arrested and imprisoned. Wang Shufen passes away, comforted by her daughter's song "There's No One Like Mom."
